Two Mandevilles, One Window Shop

Mandeville runs from historic Old Mandeville cottages right on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain to large, newer custom homes on wooded lots in places like Beau Chene. The lakefront homes take the brunt of storm wind and driving rain off the water and often want storm-rated glass, while the newer builds usually need an efficiency upgrade more than an age-related fix. Keeping the full range of services in-house lets us match the work to which side of that line a home falls on.

Right on the lake, humidity and wind-driven rain are relentless, so sealing and flashing have to be done right or water finds its way behind the trim. We use low-E glass to cut the summer load on Mandeville’s big south- and west-facing openings.

A Northshore crew that knows the lakefront

We measure in person, order each window to fit, and install under City of Mandeville and St. Tammany permits with our own team, start to finish. Knowing how the lakefront behaves in a blow is the difference between a window that lasts and one that leaks.
